Is ECU remapping right for you?

That is a tough question to answer. Your hardcore racing buddy might tell you there's tons of untapped performance in your bike, but that isn't always correct. But if your motorcycle has inbuilt factory limitations built into it creating a riding experience that could be less than perfect according to you, ECU tuning is a very effective way to get the motorcycle you wanted or to improve your bike's performance levels if you're feeling like you've mastered it and little bit bored by it. If you have performance upgrades, sometimes ECU tuning can make huge rideability and performance gains and sometimes become a necessity if you don't want your engine dynamics to go insane. If you are totally happy with your motorcycle and don't want to mess with any item and never change a part from stock, you might just want to let your ECU do its own thing.

What is remapping ?

ECU remapping is a combination of art and science of breaking the code that the factory installs in your motorcycle's brain and giving it an upgrade. The power delivery of a modern bike is controlled through a microcontroller the ECU (Electronic Control Unit). In most cases of powerful and exciting bikes, the ECU is also responsible for traction control and gear change dynamics too. Remapping or altering your ECU means removing things like low RPM power restrictions, fuel delivery settings, and a slew of other options. The power delivery of a modern bike is controlled through a microcontroller the ECU (Electronic Control Unit). When it comes a production bike or a stock bike, the factory settings are constructed towards emission, safety, easy of maintenance. Power delivery and engine smoothness get a second consideration. The power delivery of a modern bike is controlled through a microcontroller the ECU (Electronic Control Unit). What we at WolfMoto are concerned with ignition and fuel delivery system, These attributes lead to the power delivered to the back wheel and the smoothness of that power. It enables you to take a stock motorcycle with twitchy throttle control and turn it into that smooth powerful road monster you expected.

What we do ?

We at WolfMoto completely change the personality of your bike by analysing the existing ECU and by reworking fuel and ignition maps for smoother transitions and throttle response. Throttle limitations are removed for improved lower gears. Timing retard was altered for making the engine rev faster and harder. The trick is to find the balance between proper ignition timing and air/fuel ratio at every single rpm. Some bikes are better bred in certain areas, like sometimes in higher rpm areas because the engine runs cooler and safer, or not so good in some rpms for emissions purposes. Newer and modern motorcycles make a lot of compromises to meet emission standards and still produce respectable power. Remapping your ECU can eliminate some if not all of these compromises and make any modifications you do more effective. The constant theme is here is make throttle response smoother and adds some horsepower. The torque is the secondary benefit here. WolfMoto have proven our experience in creating high power machines with KTM Duke 390 tuning, KTM Duke 200 tuning, Benelli 600i and Benelli 300
